“Seegman’s Woe” was written in collaboration with percussionist Kevin Sims. Our aim was to create a piece that gave a feeling of solidarity without any explicit ideology being shoved down your throat. The piece was premiered in a Sheetz parking lot in State College, PA on the day prior to the 2020 election. Subsequent performances that day took place throughout State College: a Wegman’s parking lot, a demolition site formerly Franklin Manor Mobile Park and on a highway berm in front of a Home Depot.
